We are looking for a talented Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to provide medical leadership and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary teams within our male/female rehabilitation services at Bromley Road Hospital and our rehabilitation unit at Sturt House.
You will take on RC responsibility for patients at Bromley Road and RC responsibility for some of the complex needs patients at Sturt House (There is an RC who covers the other patients at Sturt, and works Mon-Wed). The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor at Bromley Road as well as secretarial support at both sites. The working pattern would be Monday-Wednesday at Bromley Road, and Thursday-Friday at Sturt House.
Consideration will be given to candidates who would prefer to work part-time at either Bromley Road Hospital or Sturt House.
Bromley Road Hospital is a 26 bed rehabilitation unit with 2 wards. The hospital is purpose built and run by Elysium Healthcare. The hospital is centrally located in South London with excellent transport links.
Sturt House is a 20 bed forensic rehabilitation/complex needs unit in Walton on the Hill.
You will need excellent communication skills (both verbally and written) and the ability to build effective relationships with patients, colleagues and other professionals. Good IT skills are essential.
