Role Profile

This is a critical role within the Equity Index Product Management team and will report to the Director, Equity Index Product Management Delivery & Integration within the Data & Analytics division at LSEG. The role will be responsible for supporting successful execution of all Equity Index Product Initiatives, working closely with the Regional Equity Index Product Managers and Equity Index Research leads as well as across functions including Index Delivery, Index Management and Technology. The successful candidate will help identify, promote adoption of and support delivery of process changes to drive an improved BAU Equity Index Product delivery model. A key responsibility in the role will be creation of visibility across the Group for the Equity Index business, ensuring regular engagement and reporting on product delivery.

Core Responsibilities

  • Globally support the execution of all Equity Index Product initiatives and support evolution of improved end to end processes
  • Drive successful outcomes through collaboration both within the Product, Research and Marketing function and across functions including Sales, Index Management, Index Data Management, Technology, Governance & Risk, and Client Service
  • Coordination with Product Managers to ensure and support efficient product pipeline management, consistent product business cases development and oversee product builds
  • Frequently align on index product initiatives with key senior stakeholders
  • Own coordination of data dependencies impacting the Equity index roadmap and plan delivery appropriately with Data Management team
  • Build and communicate regular reporting on the business roadmap to all stakeholders across the Group

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

Essential skills:

  • Written and verbal communications: Communicate effectively to audiences with differing levels of domain expertise (presentations, reports, external communications)
  • Execution: Strong organizational/coordination skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively, handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, identify/ flag/resolve potential issues early on, and ensure successful delivery
  • Quantitative fluency: High level of skill and comfort with numbers (basic financial modeling)
  • Collaboration: Ability to influence and work through others to get things done in a matrixed, multi-site organization; willingness to help colleagues; openness to take on new responsibilities
  • Self-motivated: Takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm; able to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, including O365 and familiarity with Power BI reporting building an advantage
  • Positive attitude to learning

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of the financial markets, investment process, index industry, and usage by key institutional client segments
  • 5+ years within roles in product management or delivery/project execution within financial sector
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or equivalent experience required
