Data Warehouse Developer - Prime Services Analyst in Glasgow

Job description

As a Barclays Data Warehouse Developer - Prime Services Analyst you’ll be part of Prime Finance IT organization and an integral part of Prime Data Applications team. You’ll be responsible for building critical trading tools and providing Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Analytics and reporting services across all Prime business area facilitating external client reporting, regulatory reporting, internal reporting and critical applications that helps the business in making right decisions.

• Hands on design and development of components around business requirements with sound technical background and understanding of the domain
• Developing tools to monitor and trouble shoot issues, automate processes and improve system reliability and resilience
• Addressing user/ client queries in a timely and efficient manner

• Expertise in RDBMS, preferably Microsoft SQL server (2008/ 2012 and up), with experience in writing SQL/ Stored procedures and ability to debug production issues
• Experience in ETL tools, preferably Informatica, with ability to create mappings and workflows and debug issues in existing workflows
• Experience in Linux shell scripting, AutoSys and DevOps tools
• Experience with Data visualization tools like QlikView and Tableau 

• Experience supporting user queries and technical issues raised by Application support team 
• Experience in using Agile tools e.g. JIRA, Git, Team City, Agile Central  
• Experience in Investment Banking environment
