The Multiple Sclerosis Service is an expanding and complex service, and with the developments in treatments for Multiple Sclerosis it is an exciting time to be involved in the further development of the service. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our well established service. As a specialist nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality specialist care and support to patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Clinical responsibilities will include undertaking nurse-led clinics to support symptom management, and the co-ordination of treatment pathways for patients receiving disease modifying therapy. The role will also involve delivering education programmes for patients and health care professionals and to act as an expert resource for patients and their families and allied health care professionals.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience in neurology, ideally in Multiple Sclerosis. However we will consider applications from exceptional candidates whom have a minimum of 3 years experience of managing patients with complex long term conditions who are currently working autonomously in a case management / nurse specialist role and are interested in moving into a new specialist field. You will be passionate about delivering holistic patient centered care to our patients and their families and will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team..
