Your Healthcare is offering an exciting opportunity for registered nurses to join our School Health team in a training role. We are inviting applications for sponsorship, leading to a PG Dip/BSc (Hons) and NMC recordable Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse).
The successful applicant will join our School Health Team as a School Nurse student. You must demonstrate up to date clinical skills, leadership qualities, evidence-based practice and a passion for promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people, as well as share Your Healthcare’s commitments and values.
The programme involves taught modules at a London University and a clinical placement within Your Healthcare. The combination of clinical and academic content will enable you to develop knowledge, clinical and leadership skills to support high quality practice. You will focus on public health outcomes through the delivery of evidence-based interventions which will involve community and whole school approaches, working with groups and with individuals.
As a student School Nurse you will be highly motivated about promoting and supporting the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of school age children, their families and school communities, in order that each child/young person is able to maximise their full health potential. You will have experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams and have a keen interest in developing teaching, supervision and leadership skills.
