I am looking for a mid Level Backend Developer with experience with PHP to join a London based creative agency to join the development team to deliver medium to large-scale projects. I am looking for someone who is genuinely excited about digital and the industry and enjoys working as part of a small team where they can have a real impact.
The company is an independent, strategic-led creative agency with digital at its core. Creating highly effective interactive work through insightful strategy, innovative ideas and beautifully crafted experiences that people want to share.
You will report into the Tech Lead. The main focus of the role will centre around the delivery of backend functionality for our clients' projects. In addition to current projects, you will also be responsible for helping scope future projects, contributing to technical design, documentation and time estimates.
Key Skills:
*Strong PHP skills (from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7)
*Experience of OOP
*Experience with a PHP MVC framework (preferable Symfony)
*Comfortable with MySQL
*Experience with composer
*Experience with Version Control System (branch's, submodules, merge, solve conflicts)
*Integrating with 3rd parties via APIs
*Experience with at least one CMS (Drupal or WordPress)
*Solid understanding of Linux commands
*Solid understanding of Apache/Nginx
*Excellent problem-solving skills
*A high level of attention to detail
*A passion for developing clean, fast and beautiful code
