Barchester’s recruitment team have an opportunity for a Junior Recruiter to join us on a permanent basis. As part of the International division, you will be recruiting international nurses to join our nursing homes and pursue their NMC registration in the UK. This is a home-based role, allowing you to take ownership of the recruitment process for international nursing staff. The division’s Recruitment Manager will support you to develop your practice and work with you to ensure that you are delivering an exceptional service to our hiring managers and candidates.
This is a full time, permanent role.
NEED TO HAVE
• 12 months recruitment experience, ideally in social care
• Ability and motivation to provide an exceptional recruitment service from home
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (preferred)
• Exceptional communication and organisation skills
• Proactive approach to problem solving and attention to detail
NEED TO KNOW
• Understanding of recruitment processes and necessity for maintaining contact with both candidates and hiring managers
• Understanding of pre-employment checks
• Knowledge of home/social care sector (preferred)
• Knowledge of UK immigration regulations (preferred, but not mandatory)
NEED TO DO
• Work alongside the team to deliver an exceptional recruitment process and support the recruitment needs of our nursing homes and internal stakeholders
• Develop understanding of Barchester’s USPs and promote these in all aspects of the role
• Maintain accurate recruitment metrics and report figures to the Recruitment Manager
• Manage incoming applications and develop a robust talent pool
• Screen candidates with enthusiasm to assess their suitability for each position
• Support candidates from point of offer to arrival in the UK, including travel arrangements, to ensure a smooth transition to the country
• Promote retention by maintaining contact with new starters and providing adequate pastoral care
• Work closely with other internal departments such as Human Resources
