Trainee Financial Services Administrator in Oxford

The role

As a Trainee Financial Services Administrator, you will be providing support to the Financial Planning team with their requirements, tracking all items sent to our providers and clients until job completion and ensuring compliance is upheld throughout.

Your day to day key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing diary and workflow on a daily basis and ensuring all relevant deadlines are met
  • Updating our back office system with any relevant details
  • Liaising with clients to update them on an application’s progress and to schedule in their annual review
  • Liaising with product providers to obtain any outstanding information and obtaining illustrations
  • Checking client files using checklists to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Checking applications etc. for completeness, forwarding them to providers for processing
  • Helping other members of the team as required
  • Product research
  • Letters and general correspondence
  • General administration, involving filing and scanning, and file set up

The person

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and organisational skills. Teamwork, the ability to prioritise workload and having a flexible, adaptable attitude will be needed in this busy role.

You are reliable and enthusiastic, and have a professional approach to your work, colleagues and clients. You will have high accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent analytical skills and an ability to carry out effective research.

A minimum of GCSE Maths and English (grades A-C, 9-4) is essential. You will also be familiar with Word and Excel. Previous experience of working in a Financial Services environment is desirable but not essential.
