Part-time Childcare Positions in London! Incl. Room & Meals

Smartaupairs is an award-winning and leading childcare agency offering childcare positions with amazing and highly recommended London host families (other locations are also available). Most positions are live-in.

What are you going to do:

Do you enjoy working with children?

Do you take pride in being a responsible big sister or brother?

If you have answered yes, have you ever considered a live in childcare position?

This is a perfect opportunity for a student who is new to London, or perhaps someone who is looking to gain additional childcare experience to further their childcare career.

Although no formal childcare experience is required, you do need to have basic, informal childcare experience as a minimum. And naturally, you need to enjoy working with children.

Now, just imagine not having to worry about rent, utility bills, food bill - and having your home & job all confirmed in one! No more dodgy student lets!

You will receive full board (comfortable private bedroom and daily meals), and weekly pay depending on the number of hours you work (avg. £150/week for 25-30h)

As most positions are live in, it is important that you are an adaptable individual who enjoys living in a family home environment.

What Tasks Are Expected?

Each position is unique, however, in most cases, you will support your host family with simple childcare tasks for 20-30h/week.

Including but not limited to:

  • School/nursery pick up and drop off
  • Simple meal & snack preparation
  • Playing/arts & crafts, baking with children
  • Homework support
  • Light household duties relating to children (tidy up, children's laundry/ironing)
  • Going to the park/playdates

Extra information

Smartaupairs is highly recommended:

"I used Smart Au Pairs UK for my Gap year 2020/21 and they have been supportive, reliable and most importantly friendly even in these weird and uncertain times. No matter the problem they are always happy to help.
After only a few weeks I found the perfect host family and couldn't be happier" Laura, from Germany

"My first experience au pairing was fantastic with the help of Tuuli and her team. When I had to find a new family three months into my stay they were completely supportive of my decision to wait and make sure I made the right choice. Always there if you need help and fostered a really caring environment of open communication whenever you need it. I couldn't recommend them more." Molly, from Australia

"This agency is really the best one you can choose. They are all so kind, friendly and always there for you if you need any kind of help. They really want you to have the best experience in a wonderful family as an au pair and they do everything that is possible to get you this. Honestly, it was my best decision to go to England with this agency!" Selina, from Germany
