As “Head of Engineering Delivery”, we will rely on you to improve the delivery process, bring structure, remove impediments and help to monitor key metrics of the engineering teams. You will help us in building an engineering culture of empowerment, ownership, continuous learning and feedback. You will make sure the engineering teams have the prioritized items to work on and identify dependencies, risks and mitigation options and communicate clearly with wider business. Your primary goal would be to work with engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure we deliver quality software continuously to delight our customers.

Responsibilities
Help to create cross-functional product teams to enable frequent software delivery with quality, security and reliabilityCreate, maintain and enhance software delivery processes which enables both in-house and external product teams to deliver quality software on time. It includes working with product teams, putting in place required ceremonies and identifying key metrics to monitor.Delivery of projects which span across multiple product teams and other areas of business. Create detailed project plan with timeline, identify risks and mitigation options and ensure timely deliveryWorking with other Engineering and Product Managers to ensure each product team has prioritized backlog to work on, help the managers to remove impediments if any and improve the teams velocityHelp to create a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning, establish necessary community of practices where engineers can collaborate, exchange ideas and showcase new learningsHelp to create high performing teams by identifying areas to focus. Create necessary strategies, execute them and make sure this can be measured. Supporting, mentoring and developing engineers through regular 1:1, continuous feedback and relationship with Team Leads and Head of EngineeringLine management of engineers and engineering managersHelp to scale and grow the team
Requirements
Strong knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle and experienceExperience in creating high performance engineering teams, coach and mentor engineers and engineering managersExperience of leading a team of engineers & working as part of an agile teamExperience of using modern software development practices including DevOps, Continuous Integration and DeliveryExperience with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Cloudformation, Lambda, DynamoDB etc)Good understanding of web security and DevSecOps principlesStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work across global teams and working with different cultures across different time zonesExperience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development
