Our Client is a respected broad ability school, offering education for pupils from 3 - 18 years of age, based in Maidenhead. They have an exciting opportunity for a creative part-time Teaching Assistant to join their thriving and successful Junior Boys and Girls School, to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with the class teacher to support children both within the classroom and through small group work. An interest in supporting the teaching of science would be a great advantage.

As an extended care assistant, you will also work within the Nursery and Junior School to provide structured play and development opportunities for children in early years.

Expected start date: September 2021.

There are two part time, term-time roles available.

One role begins at 7.30am and finishes at 1:00pm. The other role starts at 12.30pm and finishes at 6pm while the school is in session.

The Successful Teaching Assistant must be:

  • Experienced working with primary aged children, in a classroom setting, ideally EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or 2.
  • Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3.
  • Able to create safe, happy and stimulating play activities.
  • Educated to a good standard - English and Maths GCSE A-C grade.
  • Able to carry out 1:1 and small group support with pupils.
  • Confident using ICT.
  • An enthusiastic team player, with the ability to adapt to a variety of situations.
  • Engaged with the School's ethos, thinking creatively and reflectively within an open, honest and hardworking team.
