Having recently recruited a new Food & Beverage Manager, we seek a part-time Chef to join the team. Initially, you'll be responsible for the food offering at weekends and for special events and external bookings. We're aiming for a good home cooking type feel with quality burgers, fish and steak offerings. You'll also be responsible for catering for the rugby club's many events that need a chef to cook good, wholesome, filling food!
To be considered you will need to have experience of running your own professional kitchen, be second in command in a bigger operation or have been involved in pop-up, dynamic restaurant type operations. You will take responsibility for the creative direction of the food offering, menus, quality of ingredients, staffing, and service. Reporting to the F&B Manager you'll be supported by the wider team including the rugby club leadership and be given the best possible opportunity to succeed.
You will be an integral part of the overall club and build many good relationships with a close-knit team of driven, ambitious people. Our plans for the food offering will be very much driven by you and your ambition.
We will be looking for the core characteristics of enthusiasm, can-do attitude, teamwork, creativity, and commercial acumen.
In return, we're looking at a rate of around £15 per hour dependent on experience but open to discussing individual situations.
