Content-creation-based traineeship
The traineeship programme is comprised of two parts:
Remote traineeship (September-December 2021):
You will be given training on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is the framework we use, as well as our product operation and strategy
You will work on writing content for our platforms, alongside our in-house academic team. You will be given weekly goals so that you can organise your workload according to your needs. You are expected to work 10-15 hours a week (for example: 2-3 hours a day, 5 days a week). You will be assigned a mentor, who will check your work and provide you with feedback on the content you write.
This part of the traineeship is not remunerated. Each piece of work that you do will be awarded a certain number of points. These cumulated points will be used at the end of November to shortlist the trainees who will make it to the second stage of the traineeship programme (the trainees who do not make it to the second round will be provided with a work experience certificate and a recommendation letter).
2. Traineeship in Mexico (February-June 2022):
The top trainees chosen to come to Mexico will be notified in December. Once they have accepted the offer, we will proceed to book their flights and arrange accommodation in Mexico City for the duration of their stay.
Trainees will be given cultural training before their arrival, to help them prepare for the Mexican experience.
Trainees are expected to arrive in Mexico at the beginning of February. Upon arrival, they will be introduced to the rest of the team and company and given a tour of Mexico City. Further training will be provided on the work they will be doing, which will include carrying out speaking examinations across Mexico, as well as content creation and editing.
Trainees will be granted a stipend for food and expenses, which will be the equivalent of £170 / $220 per month. All flights and accommodation will be covered by the company. While travelling outside of Mexico City, all internal flights and hotel stays will also be covered by the company, along with an extra daily stipend for food. All cultural experiences, such as tours and visits will be provided free of charge.
Trainees will be provided with a return flight to their home country. Top trainees will be given the opportunity to extend their stay and join the academic team full-time in Mexico City in a Junior Academic Analyst role.
