About the role

We are looking for Community Communications Co-Ordinator to join us and take responsibility for supporting and delivering the value of our groups charity via our social and digital media channels, coordinating and shaping content that showcases why The Pets at Home Foundation is fundamental to rescues and also helping charities that help pets and the people that love them.  

Working with the Group Charity and Community Manager, this role will help manage our content calendar to ensure we are positively communicating our support to rescues and charities both internally and externally and will coordinate any activity across social media channels which highlights the work of the charity, i.e. grants awarded to rescues, fundraising drives, community support, working with our charity team and the wider business to gather or activate plans and content.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating our content calendar for the charity, actively sourcing content, working with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Delivering content across all our social channels, internally and externally, e.g. Linked In, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
• Playing an active role in communicating the way we are positioned across our social channels, setting up new channels when required
• Working with the Group Charity and Community Manager, ensuring we showcase the charity values and culture through our content plan
• Activating any campaigns or plans across our digital channels

The ideal candidate will have a passion for social and digital and be confident at communicating effectively via all key channels. Excellent written communication skills and being able to adapt style to engage different audiences is a must in this role. Experience of using social media scheduling tools along with experience of delivering social and digital campaigns is desirable but not essential.
