Salary – Band D, starting from £40,000 

Pets at Home Ltd has over 430+ stores across the UK and continues to grow and evolve  each and every year. Our Distribution Centre in Northampton houses both retail and multi-channel operations. The site currently has approx. 650 colleagues with the capacity to expand the operation further.

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a growing business as a Planning and Performance Manager within our DC in Northampton, with excellent progression paths available. You will be required to work 39 hours per week, Monday- Friday however some flexibility make be required.

Job Description

• Medium, long term forecast as well as seasonal promotions.
• Review site headcount vs volume forecast, through Developing & managing a labor plan that meets the requirements of the business, in terms of quality, productivity, daily and weekly operations reporting and key performance indicator (KPI) management in line with the headcount model.
• Produce weekly & periodic reports on colleague performance for all areas.
• Police compliance of managers on tackling colleagues who are not performing.
• Liaise with People Team to plan for recruitment and colleague training.
• Construct the deployments on a weekly basis to ensure fair rotation and the successful delivery of the SDC’s objectives.
• Using the planning function to move colleague engagement to the next level using an innovative new approach along with enhancing tried and tested methods
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, sharing of best practice and added value whilst key service levels are not affected.
• Liaise with the Facilities Manager to review fleet costs, availability and explore new initiatives.
• Responsible for developing a collaborative relationship with internal teams, NDC counterparts & suppliers to ensure that communication within the operation is consistent.
• Lead your team using the company values.
• Carry out the disciplinary procedure up to the dismissal stage, ensuring that all disciplinary procedures have been adhered to within the Company handbook

Details of package

• Salary – Band D, starting from £40,000 
• Holidays – 28 days including bank holidays, rising to 33 days after two years’ service
