We will be awarding all our HGV drivers (existing and new starters) a market supplement. This will be applied over a 6-month period and paid as a lump sum after each 3-month period:
• • From 4th July 2021 through to 25th September 2021 drivers will receive £400 paid in 15th October 2021 pay
• • From 26th September 2021 through to 18th December 2021 drivers will receive £600 paid in 7th January 2022 pay
This supplement will be pro-rated, based on the number of contracted days per week and is not linked to hours worked, the payment will be reduced based on absence and is subject to tax and NI deductions.
This is a temporary incentive measure that we will continue to review to ensure that it is benchmarked to the market and offers our colleagues a competitive reward package. We also reserve the right to update and vary the details of this supplement at our discretion.
New Starter Incentive
We will also be awarding our new starter HGV Drivers an incentive payment to join and stay with Tesco:
· New HGV Drivers to Tesco will receive an additional payment of £1000 paid on 1 April 2022 providing they are still working with us on 11 March 2022.
· This will apply to any new starters who join from 14 July 2021 until 30 September 2021.
· The payment is subject to tax and NI deductions.
All temporary incentives are at Tesco’s discretion and subject to review, variation and removal.
