Graduate Engineering Assistant in East Grinstead

Job description

Engineering Engineering Assistant required for a precision engineering company based in East Grinstead. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have an engineering qualification and it would be an advantage to have experience in a similar position. You will be reporting to the Production manager on a range of duties. The company is growing and there is great scope for promotion with many companies within the engineering group.

Graduate Engineering Assistant Position Overview

• Assisting the production manager with general duties, planning and customer communications
• Filing and retrieving engineering drawings, updating works instructions, and building up job packs.
• Entering new jobs onto WIP and shop loading spreadsheets.
• Assisting with producing delivery notes/identification labelling and invoices from shop loading spreadsheets.
• Assisting with the purchase of sub-contract services and materials, requesting quotations, and producing purchase orders using the P.O log
• Keeping and recording the price and vendors of regular surface treatments against drawing numbers
• Checking goods in and out that are being issued to or returning from sub-contractors.
• Other duties as required.

Graduate Engineering Assistant Position Requirements

• Ideally degree served in a mechanical engineering related subject
• Based in a commutable distance of East Grinstead

Graduate Engineering Assistant Position Remuneration

• Salary £20,000-£25,000
• Pension
• Holiday
• Other benefits to be discussed
• 39-hour 4-day week with the shop open from 7 A.M through to 5.15 P.M. core hours are 8-4 flexitime around these hours to achieve 39 hrs.
