Graduate Electronic Engineer

We are looking for a Graduate Electronics Engineer to work alongside our team including RF and Digital Design, IC Design, & Modelling Engineers to develop our products through design to product launch.

You will be an effective communicator in the fast paced multidisciplinary environment, delivering tasks to tight deadlines. We are looking for candidates to work on RF and digital design, analysis, modelling, implementation and testing of a complex system.

Essential Skills

Experienced/ strong grasp in one or more of key areas listed below -

RF System Design
  • RF Circuit and Component level design using ADS or similar software.
  • EM modelling experience to accurately simulate transmission line and passive components.
  • General understanding of system performance trade-offs in selecting transceiver architectures.
  • Familiarity with lab measurement and some experience with test automation.
  • 1+ years’ industry experience as an intern or apprenticeship would be great.
Or IC Design
  • Good understanding in RFIC / Analogue IC Design.
  • Strong knowledge of RFIC and ASIC EDA tools such as Keysight ADS.
  • Understanding of advanced RFCMOS/RFSOI process.
  • Experience with EM simulators such as ADS Momentum and/or HFSS is a plus.
  • 1+ years’ industry experience as an intern or apprenticeship would be great.
Or Digital System Modelling
  • Initial exposure in the development/prototyping of digital signal processing algorithms for communication systems
  • Sound knowledge in Matlab/ Simulink, or Python
  • Sound knowledge in Keysight SystemVue/ ADS and Hardware Description Languages - desirable
  • 1+ years’ industry experience as an intern or apprenticeship would be great.
Desirable Skills

These skills would be useful but not essential -
  • Phased Array specific knowledge
  • RF prototyping approaches to prove out modelling
  • Circuit design, simulation & PCB realisation techniques up-to 40GHz is a definite plus
  • Measurement and characterisation of RF & mmWave devices and circuits
  • Programming for control of instrumentation and data processing with Python, Matlab or any other scripting language

Our Offices and Covid Secure Working

We operate out of the UK and USA, with our Head Quarters in Reading. As a pre-revenue start-up, there is lots of fast moving change and development so our UK team are based in modern offices in Reading, Berkshire (COVID-19 permitting!). This means that everyone can be involved and play their part in key stages of the work we are developing.
