Graduate Events Assistant in London

4 - 40 hours per week

Events Assistant, Media, London, £25,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic graduate to join a well respected media business as their junior Events assistant based in central London. As part of the Events team, you will undertake various duties involved in the planning and execution of events.

The business produces over 100 events a year, from round-table debates to multi day conferences. They take place across the globe, from Miami to Paris and Bangkok both in person and virtually.

If you're interested in working in the exciting and fast-paced area of Events and are looking for a role that immerses you in the production and delivery of high-quality conferences and virtual events, then this could be the job for you!

Main responsibilities:

- Undertaking speaker research for UK and International events within budget and on brief.

- Compiling briefing notes for speakers and creating deadline documents for speakers.

- Arranging briefing calls and virtual tech checks with speakers and event chairpersons.

- Creating slide presentations for the events.

- Booking speaker travel, meals, tech assistance and accommodation.

- Assisting in creating content for the main speaking sessions; creating base scripts for event chairpersons and creating briefing documents for audio visual teams.

- Updating online web content on event websites and setting up webinars.

- Assisting with AV quotes; organising and attending rehearsals.

- Show calling on site at events and in our studio?.

- Hosting virtual sessions behind the scenes over Zoom.

Job specific skills / technical skills / requirements

- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and content creation with good copywriting and proofreading skills.

- An interest in the audio and visual aspects of events is key. Experience using a design package (adobe)would be benficial

- Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a team.

- Flexibility to travel (international) frequently and work outside of normal office hours.

- You will be a professional, effective communicator, with the ability to maintain accuracy and work to deadlines.

- Passion for innovation and learning new skills.
