A thriving secondary school is now looking for an enthusiastic graduate teaching assistant to contribute to the positive development and maintenance of their nurturing learning environment.

Salary: Grade 3 (Inner London): £70 - £80

Location: London

Contract: Long-term supply

Starting: September 2021

  • A central team in place solely dedicated to dealing with all behaviour issues, non-completion of homework, phone-calls and detentions to make sure that teachers are as free as possible to do the three things that matter most: mark, plan and teach.

The Role:

Would suit an enthusiastic and energetic individual who wants to make a valuable contribution in transforming education for secondary school students.

  • Supervise and provide particular support for identified students on a 1:1 basis, in a group or supporting a whole classroom
  • To assist in the development of schemes of work and teaching strategies, working with the teacher to ensure the provision supports each identified student's learning needs.
  • To assist in evaluating identified students' progress through agreed assessment activities.
  • To provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on students' achievement, progress and needs.
  • To lead small group sessions and interventions as appropriate.
  • To attend to the students' personal needs where required, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
  • To support with behaviour management, using appropriate strategies in line with academy. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check and references.
