Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can help people do something today that they couldn’t do last week? Join the brand new service, Pinhoe View in Exeter as Social Activities Coordinator and help people build a brighter future.

Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the team on the Clyst Ward at Pinhoe View, a new purpose-built facility in Exeter, where a range of mental health services are provided for adults with acute mental health conditions across two wards and eight individual flats.

You will be responsible for creating 1-1 rapports with service users to deliver a variety of person-centred activities, interventions, community integration projects and Real Work Opportunities programme for service users to engage in to support their recovery and reach their goals.

As a Social Activities Coordinator, you will create, monitor and assess therapeutic activities, service users recovery progress and vocational skills development.

You will assist in the creation and planning of timetables, which will see you use creative skills to develop programmes to reflect the individual's needs and provide a range of activities to promote healthier lifestyles and skill development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Providing effective and accurate clinical entries and outcomes of activities using an electronic patient database system.
  • Supporting service users' within community integration, running community-based activities 
  • Being able to run physically active sessions and engaging in moving and handling tasks
  • Working with the Physical health team to promote healthy lifestyles in line with the hospital targets

To be successful as Activity Coordinator, you’ll need:

  • Experience within a similar setting and/or role
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team-based framework
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet service and service user's needs
  • Full UK Driving License
