Reporting to the Head of Group Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Manager will work as part of a small high profile team delivering a varied internal audit plan consisting of strategic, financial and operational audits, as well as ad-hoc special projects and investigations.

You will work closely with our specialist audit providers to ensure the correct balance; expertise and flexibility of resources are in place to provide assurance over the effectiveness of systems of internal control and the actions being taken to manage risks. The role is ideal for a senior internal auditor or assistant internal audit manager looking for career progression.

Key accountabilities:

• Drive positive change through the Group by providing value-adding audit reports.
• Implement and maintain the internal control framework and be a key resource for the business in determining appropriate controls and processes that proactively and efficiently identify and mitigate risk.
• Support the business as we strengthen our internal controls framework (UK SOx style approach) to comply with expected changes to corporate governance requirements.

Experience and skill set:

• This is a high-profile role requiring an individual with solid internal audit and risk experience ideally gained within a Big 4 firm and subsequent experience within a listed business.
• You will hold a relevant Professional Qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or MIIA.
• Experience of implementing/auditing against US SOx framework preferred.

• Experienced and have the gravitas to work with and be able to challenge strong individuals and teams.
• Consultative in your approach, applying insight and expertise, providing advice as well as assurance.
• A clear communicator both written and verbal.
