An opportunity has arisen within our indirect Procurement team for a Procurement Buyer - Tech/Marketing, who will work within our Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) division, with exposure to high-spend, high-profile category areas. Our Procurement Specialist’s live and breathe our ethos which is critical to Morrisons’ success - buying well, to deliver the right products and services, at the lowest cost.
The successful Procurement Buyer will work closely with the Procurement Managers, taking responsibility for sourcing products (E.g. food making equipment) and services (E.g. equipment maintenance contracts), with the opportunity to influence and shape procurement processes. You’ll be responsible for:
The end to end sourcing of products and services for GNFR
Identify and develop cost saving opportunities to support in the corporate objective of reducing spend
Engaging and partnering with suppliers, identifying opportunities to support cost down projects
Ensuring contracts are implemented with suppliers, including defined KPIs and service standards
Collating and analysing data to identify trends and opportunities
Partnering with stakeholders to manage suppliers and offer solutions as the Procurement expert
cureSo that you are set for success, we are looking for a self-starter, who is an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence at all levels. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and committed to providing an outstanding procurement service.
We use data to identify opportunities and make effective decisions, so it’s important that you have strong analytical ability, with experience exploiting MI to offer insight as well as to identify problems and solutions. You will also have natural commercial acumen with a track record in indirect procurement.
