About The Role
We're recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Engineering team in our busy manufacturing site. In this role it's your job to support our Multi-skilled Engineers with their Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks across the factory.
 
Reporting to the Shift Manager, Engineering you would also be responsible for:
  • Delivering high asset performance, enabling reliable delivery of manufacturing plans and also deliver practical improvements to maintain asset condition, look and feel
  • Ensuring that the appropriate risk assessment and method statement is in place as well as overseeing and monitoring the performance of contractors who work on the site
  • Ensuring the site has high 5S standards and ensure that the site is ready for both internal and external food safety audits and engineering compliance audits at all times
Our manufacturing teams are a busy bunch and without them we wouldn't be the 2nd largest food manufacturer in the UK.

About You
As well as a high attention to detail you will also need to have:
  • Relevant engineering related experience within a similar role
  • A trade qualification to demonstrate competence in basic mechanical, plumbing or fabric work
  • The ability to problem solve and come up with quick solutions to problems
  • A logical approach to completing tasks
  • The ability to work at pace and isn't afraid of a little hard work
  • The ability to work as part of a team, as well as on your own
