We’ve got an opportunity for a Stock & Systems Specialist to join our Logistics team at our site in Stockton.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for all functions which relate to stock control and administration across the site. Ensuring a high level of service is maintained and smart ways of working that are consistent across all departments.
The role will also be responsible for the following:
Developing and managing a customer service approach to stocks and administration, ensuring support for all warehouse functions
Produce easy to read daily/weekly performance and process reports and relay this data to key stakeholders whilst ensuring accuracy of information so that its fit for purpose
You will work cross functionally to manage and influence key internal and external stakeholders
Understand the root cause of issues for analysis and find a resolution. This may require involving colleagues to ensure support is given to areas so the same issues don't reoccur
Working collaboratively as a team ensuring standards are set and maintained and decisions are made to improve systems and processes
Oversees all stock control processes and procedures on site and manages these defined systems in line with an agreed stock report target
Owns the setup and configuration of Warehouse stock for each area ensuring consistent processes are followed across sit
Delivers the stock control plan at site ensuring compliance with Morrisons policy and procedures
Manage a team of colleagues across various warehouses and involve them in looking at ways to improve processes and system use
Manage internal stakeholders with a strong customer service focussed approach, through the development of lean processes within warehouses, professional relationships with suppliers and hauliers and the delivery of revenue
What skills and experience do Morrisons' Stock and Systems Specialists need:
Experienced leader in stocks and administration who has detailed knowledge of warehouse management systems with a sound understanding of Morrisons supply chain
Experience of managing internal and external business stakeholders with a strong customer service focussed approach evidenced through the development of lean processes within warehouses professional relationships with suppliers and hauliers and the delivery of revenue
An innovative and strategic thinker to implement new ideas which inhibit productive ways of working, simplifying and speeding up the stock control operation for colleagues, managers and the site
Experience managing stock control and all associated administrative functions across all warehouses on site
Awareness of all Morrisons procedures and processes which guide the stock control operation
Drive continuous improvement activities on site which benefit stock control processes within warehouse teams and champion better ways of working to reduce the cost of lost/wasted stock
Commercially aware and have the ability to understand and act when stock control improvements can be made which benefit the P&L
