Sister/Charge Nurse - band 6 - ED

Exciting opportunities have arisen within Our Emergency Department for the position of Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse posts.

As a Band 6 in ED you will be supported by the senior nursing team to manage a junior team of staff enabling management exposure to establish those next steps in your career progression.

East surrey also has incredible succession planning enabling clinical career progression in trainee EP positions leading to possible practitioning and ACP pathways.

Successful applicants will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a band 5 staff nurse within Emergency Nursing, you should possess a wide range of appropriate clinical skills and have a keen interest in developing their career in Emergency Care.

Supporting junior staff members, and a willingness to mentor both students and new staff is also an important aspect of this post. You will have the opportunity to enhance and develop your skills through preceptorship and formal educational development within this busy dynamic area. You will need to have a firm understanding of both local and national initiatives in order to help the Emergency Department meet the Emergency Care Four Hour Standard, whilst ensuring the delivery of optimum standards of nursing care.
