Programme

Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

What you’ll do

In your first couple of years, you’ll get as much exposure to different clients and challenges as possible. You will experience up to three of our business areas within Deals.

Within Business Restructuring Services, this can involve liaising with creditors and all kinds of stakeholders, which calls for tact, sensitivity and assertiveness. Whether you're researching, modelling, writing reports, analysing data or developing options and recommendations, your work could well help rescue a business - perhaps saving jobs and ensuring the company can meet its financial obligations. We’ll also give you opportunities to assist the administrators in trading insolvent businesses where you’ll get a chance to take an active role in managing customer, supplier and employee relationships.

During your time in Corporate Finance you will support the provision of a range of financial advisory services, from acquisitions and disposals for corporate and private equity clients, to advising your clients on infrastructure, energy and public sector projects

In Forensic Services, you'll help clients get to the bottom of particularly complex business issues. You’ll pick up unique experience in a team that’s committed to quality. You'll work with other trainees and experienced professionals, creating lasting friendships and building strong networks.

You’ll study to become a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) or Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI). This qualification will take three years to achieve

By joining one of our Deals programmes you’ll become part of our innovative international career development programme which we call ‘Edge’. As part of Edge, you’ll receive in-depth training, participate in international events and build your global network. When you complete the Edge programme and your professional qualification, you'll be awarded with the PwC Advanced Certificate in Deals.

What you’ll need

You'll need to have or be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.

When to apply

Although there is no application deadline, each year we have only a small number of roles available. We therefore advise applying early, but please be prepared for a short wait in processing your application at each stage of our process while we consider your application alongside others.
