We are Small Growing Family Run, Whole & Snack Food Company based in Sheffield.
We are looking for new staff to help around with different roles and jobs.
1.) Cleaning down & washing packing machines, utensils and equipment, also all areas, sweeping & moping. Tidying up before and after production and on a general basis
2.) Packing foodstuffs
We have a range of automatic and semi-automatic machines and manual methods to help weight and pack foodstuffs into bags.
Specific tasks are similar across all packaging activities
Labelling boxes and bags,
sealing boxes and bags,
filling up / decanting bulk products into machines,
entering machines settings for each product
packing finished product into boxes
3.) General warehouse duties such as,
Managing inventory by Replenishing and restocking finished products onto shelves
Helping to pick and pack customer postal orders
Helping to pick wholesale orders
Helping to Load our vans
Tidying up and optimising goods in and goods out areas (moving / condensing stock around)
You will be packing various types of dried fruits, nuts, seeds, flours, and other similar products into bags that range from 125g up to 10kg.
Many products that you will come into contact will be food allergens,
The job will involve a lot if physical activities and you will need to be capable of lifting bags/boxes up to 30kg in weigh repeated for a short amount of time. physically fit and have a decent amount of stamina.
Most of the work will involve repetitive activities and will need to engage a high level of concentration, as multitasking will be implemented as quality control and counting checks will need to be carried out on a regular basis.
Experience in the similar role would be a beneficial, but not essential.
Most of the work is very simple and easy to understand and we would expect you to remember and learn, all the duties, operations and how to carry out the tasks within a couple of weeks. And be self-sufficient, aware and reliant and not wait for someone to tell you what to do every time, after the initial period.
We do realise that with any new job, that you will require time to settle in. We will help you and train you on all aspects.
You will need to be flexible with the timings as some of tasks can overun
You will have a short interview with the owner and if you are thought suitable this will be followed by a short job trial.
