Digital Intern in London

Skills in digital communication are appreciated plus a can-do attitude, and the ability to adapt to different projects and an eagerness to learn!    This is an internship opportunity in a forward-thinking and quick moving organisation. The successful applicant will engage and assist with activities pertaining to the Digital team, documenting and communicating the work of the foundation.  

40 hours per week
Between £150.00 and £300.00 Per Hour

Sarabande is a leading arts and cultural foundation with exhibition space and artist studios based in N1. Established by Lee Alexander McQueen to support the most creatively fearless visionaries of the future across a range of disciplines in art, design, film and contemporary craftsmanship.

This is an internship opportunity in a forward-thinking and quick moving organisation. The successful applicant will engage and assist with activities pertaining to the Digital team, documenting and communicating the work of the foundation.

  • An interest in filming, photography and creating digital content
  • Familiarity with Adobe software (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop).

The role

 

The purpose of this role is to assist the Digital team at the Foundation on the following tasks:

 

  • Working closely with the Digital team in capturing film footage and photography for artist activities, foundation-led projects and events.
  • Assist the Head of Content and Digital and the Digital and Events Coordinator in developing an effective social media strategy that builds on our audience base across multiple platforms. This will involve brainstorming and suggesting ideas for Instagram.
  • Consistently updating, checking and monitoring social media accounts with prior approval from the Digital team.
  • Researching and communicating the activities of those affiliated with the Foundation (patrons, scholars, artists in residence) with the hope to increase Sarabande’s presence on social media.
  • Updating the website news and events pages regularly and checking for any purchases of Sarabande merchandise and artworks.
  • Responsible for updating and managing the Sarabande archive - ensuring that both digital and administrative files are allocated in the appropriate folders, liaising with the Digital team on any updates and placement of files.
  • Conducting research and investigation for specific projects as requested.
  • Assisting the Digital and Events team on any task as requested.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day running of the Foundation.
  • Assisting with marketing collateral and press material. Working closely with the Digital and Events Coordinator and Digital Marketing and Editorial Assistant to ensure that all the marketing and outreach resources have been communicated with.

Terms: Travel and lunch expenses provided

3-month contract

 

Location: Sarabande Building, 22 Hertford Road, N1 5SH

 

Hours: Monday – Friday 9.30- 6pm with some evening work required for events and workshops
