Residential Subject Teacher *Summer School*

The Mander Portman Woodward (MPW) college group will be inaugurating international summer schools in Birmingham & Cambridge in 2022. We are advertising several Residential Subject Teacher positions; the role entails teaching three hours of morning subject classes and one-and-a-half to two hours of afternoon skills lessons over a six-week period (25/06/22 – 05/08/22). Accommodation is provided free of charge throughout. Lesson plans and resources are also provided. This role would particularly suit student teachers looking to acquire paid work experience during the summer holidays.

22 - 25 hours per week
Between £505.00 and £561.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

Duties include…

  • Teaching students and young people aged 13-17 (Birmingham) or 15-19 (Cambridge)
  • Teaching morning subject lessons, such as History or Business Studies
  • Teaching afternoon skills lessons, such a Critical Thinking and Entrepreneurship
  • Liaising with course developers as required
  • Taking attendance and writing reports

Schemes of work, lesson plans and all teaching resources will be provided.
