Are passionate about creating meaningful change with some of the most vulnerable people in society? If so, then join the team as a Principal Clinical Psychologist at Wellesley Hospital.
You’ll be part of an environment that has a strong emphasis on teamwork, and where there is good access to training resources and the opportunity to deliver longer-term therapy.
Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the team at Wellesley Hospital in Wellington, which is surrounded by the beautiful Somerset countryside, with close access to beaches and only 30 minutes drive from Bristol and Exeter. The service provides care to men and women with mental health conditions in a modern and purpose-built hospital with low and medium secure environments.
Working as part of a vibrant and enthusiastic psychology department, you will collaboratively provide risk assessments, psychometric assessments, individual and group interventions. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions, deliver training, provide supervision and undertake research.
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have experience in managing a clinical caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support collaborative working and recovery.
You will have previous experience in delivering trauma focussed work, with DBT being desirable, however, full training will be provided.
Recently qualified Psychologists with a clear passion for working in this field and part-time applications will be considered.
