Job description

Technology underpins many of the most influential organisations in the world. Technology brings opportunities, connects billions of people with each other every day and enables business decisions for all companies. Our Technology Engineering Graduate Programme is designed to support you on your journey to a successful career in technology. You will have the opportunities to learn and develop a wide range of hands-on technical skills and help deliver successful outcomes for our clients. In fact, you can learn for a lifetime when you join Our KPMG.

We operate at true scale whether that be client size, technical complexity or end service usage. We work with the right technology for the job utilising the right delivery methodology for the task at hand and directly with the big three public cloud providers to deliver cutting edge solutions to clients on a global stage. As a result, you will be feeding your curiosity and working with the best emerging technologies and practices.

As a graduate, you’ll follow a diverse programme working on a range of projects with different clients and technologies. This work will span the delivery lifecycle, from initially shaping a project through its design to technical delivery. You will be part of collaborative agile teams, working with other talented engineers, product owners, user experience designers and business analysts.

You will start with structured learning modules as well as exposure to client requests, managing fixes and handling incidents within a team environment. You will build up familiarity with some of our core tools, languages and frameworks like .NET/Python, ReactJS, Terraform and many more. You will build on this knowledge to deliver products and projects from inception through to their technical delivery and ongoing support and run functions. You will build, secure and maintain software or infrastructure across different public cloud providers at scale. Due to KPMG’s size you can specialise in any of the following: Software Engineering, QA Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering. Your work could span across many domains including: Financial Services, Audit, Tax & Law, Deal Advisory or Infrastructure, Government or Healthcare and Defence.

People who excel in this programme are eager to continually adapt their skills and knowledge to find solutions that make a meaningful and positive difference for clients and end users. We also ask for a keen interest in technology, but we do not require a formal technical background. Our best engineers come from a diverse set of backgrounds, which is why we say come as you are. We look for individuals who have a team-first mindset, want to learn from others and have a willingness to share what they learn. Individuals should be willing to take on early responsibility and relish solving problems.

We’re reimagining how we work at KPMG. Our firm is creating a tech-driven business to empower and equip our people to be outstanding in delivery – through inspiring workspaces, innovative ways to collaborate and hybrid ways of working. In your role, you’ll work flexibly across your location region – at KPMG offices, engagement sites and from home.
