Senior Staff Nurse - Stem Cell Transplantation - COVID-19 in London

Job description

The London Clinic are offering an attractive £5,000 ‘Golden Hello’ welcome incentive payment to successful candidates to join us*.

We have an exciting opportunity for an E Grade Nurse to join our Stem Cell Transplantation Unit based at 22 Devonshire Place, W1G, with a salary range on offer of £40,058 - £43,129, plus night shift uplifts. Our stem cell transplant unit is a purpose built facility featuring positive pressure ventilation and HEPA filtration. We have 12 ensuite rooms where we treat patients with haematological malignancies with SACT and stem cell transplant: Allogeneic, Autologous, Cord, Haplo and CAR-T therapy.  We have a nurse patient ratio of 1:3 – 1:4 depending on patient acuity and in line with JACIE standards. We are the first JACIE accredited independent private sector unit. We attend national and international conference (when appropriate) and have presented posters at EBMT. We have a global patient population and recently managed some of the NHS autograft patients through the reduction of covid restrictions catch up situation.

To be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and service to the patients.

Job Type: 

This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week (Days, nights and weekends.)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To take responsibility for individualised patient care acting as the named nurse, using a Holistic approach for all patients.
  • To adopt a holistic, pro-active and dynamic approach to patients with oncological/haematological care needs.
  • Awareness of the Holistic Needs Assessment programme,
  • To promote partnership with patients in their care. 

Skills & Experience

  • NMC Registered general nurse
  • Cancer foundation course/module and Chemotherapy Administration qualifications
  • 6 months malignant haematology experience
  • To be familiarised with CVADs
