Salary:£16.13-£16.93/hr Monday – Friday, £20.97-£21.77/hr Saturday& Nights, £25.80-£26.61/hr Sundays & Bank Holiday dependent on ward

Plus, holiday pay

Working hours: Various shifts available including days/nights/weekends – you choose

The friendly and supportive community inpatient wards care for adults with a wide variety sub-acute medical and post-surgical conditions. The patient cohort is referred from both acute and community settings. Without immediate access to acute investigations, they use multiple ‘Point of Care Testing’ systems to support the care of their patients. The diverse range of staff are skilled in appropriate management of patients supporting them to remain in the community setting, whilst also escalating as appropriate to ensure their safety.

ABOUT THE JOB:

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, and implementation of evidence-based programmes of care.

Work closely as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team for the care of patients requiring medical and rehabilitation support, predominantly post an acute hospital stay.

Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients, relatives, visitors, and staff, and provide supportive and effective communication

Actively be involved in promoting self-care for patients and building health promotion into care as appropriate.

Maintain detailed, accurate and confidential patient records according to Trust policies.

THE MUST HAVES FOR YOU TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE:

Registered Adult Nurse

Good understanding and use of IT programmes as BHFT is a digital Trust

Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Please note:

From 1 April 2022 it will become a legal requirement for health and social care staff who have direct, face-to-face contact with patients/service users to provide evidence of a complete course of an authorised COVID-19 vaccine unless they are exempt.

This requirement also extends to non-clinical staff not directly involved in patient/service user care, but who may have direct, face-to-face contact with patients/service users in the course of their work.
