Computing/Technology Tutor in Summer

Do you love technology and/or programming and can communicate your skills with young people? We need you at our camps. This Summer we are looking for tutors only with expert skills in Unity/C#, Fusion 360, Python, FPV Drone Racing, and Electronics/Soldering.

What are you going to do:

You'll be working during the day to teach programming courses to young people at our summer camps. Full training is provided. You'll be teaching the most exciting Tech courses in the UK such as 3d printing, drone racing, AI/Python and Unity/C#.

There are also a limited number of future engineering/computer science internships that may also be available for top tutors who have demonstrated excellent skills at our camps.

For Unity/C# and Python, you must have expert programming skills.  For 3D Printing you should be an expert in Fusion 360.  For Drone Racing you need to have good drone-racing skills (in FPV, not just line of sight).  We also have two other courses that need people with very good skills in soldering/basic electronic troubleshooting. Applications without at least one of these specific skills should not apply.

You will also be required to help with a limited amount of other duties at camp.

What we offer:

  • Full training
  • Excellent pay
  • Accommodation / Food (Winchester venue only)

What we ask:

  • You will be required to complete a short programming challenge during the interview or demonstrate/explain your skills in the required topic(s)
  • You must enjoy working with children
  • You must be a good communicator
  • You must have at least 1 full year remaining at university if studying a subject like computing or engineering, or working in a field like education where extended summer holidays allow you to also spend a number of weeks with us at camp
  • You must be based in the UK and be able to work without visa
  • Ideal for undergrad in engineering or computer science
  • You must live within daily commuting distance of one of our day venues (Abingdon, Fulham, Holt), or alternatively be willing to stay residentially at our Winchester venue
  • Must have strong and demonstrable technical skills
  • You should be registered as a university student
