Healthcare Support Worker - Stroke and TIA Clinics - COVID-19 in Bournemouth

We are looking for a friendly, motivated individual to support the running of our TIA (Transient Ischaemic Attack) and Stroke Outpatient Clinic. This is a full time, permanent vacancy.

If you have excellent communication skills and are committed to delivering high quality care to patients we have a brilliant opportunity within our friendly outpatients team.

We provide urgent Outpatient services for patients that have been suspected as having suffered a TIA. We also provide follow up Outpatient services to patients who have suffered a Stroke. The HCA role includes supporting the running of the clinic, completing patient observations and further investigations if required (i.e. blood tests and ECG's). Experience as a health care assistant is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given. A strong willingness to learn is essential.

The role supports the TIA clinic at Poole Mon-Friday and also over some weekends at Poole and Bournemouth. Ability to work across both sites and with to support weekend working is essential.

Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.

Rota - will include Weekends and Bank Holidays

Base Location: Poole Hospital but you will be require to work across site
