About the role

Working as a key part of the learning & development team, you will support and work with the L&D Academy Partner and L&D Academy Leads to identify the current and future skill requirements in a group capacity, creating flexible learning interventions (digital and other) to meet the needs of our colleagues. Responsible for the whole process from learning design, implementation and evaluation.

Your role will focus on improving our colleague’s performance at our Stafford FC across warehouse and transport, highlighting the skills, knowledge and behaviours to help sustain our Pet Care Eco System, providing quality learning content to attract and retain our future talent.

 

Key responsibilities (will include, but not limited to):

  • Working with the L&D Academy Partner, and the wider talent team, you will help shape our Fulfilment Centre learning strategy - comprising of induction, colleague development, functional skills, and management development, identifying development opportunities for the warehouse and transport teams and colleagues.
  • Responsible for supporting the design and development of all these programmes, linking benefit and outcomes to our strategic direction and in support of our broader talent strategy.
  • Improve and evolve programmes based on future business changes, e.g. introducing new and innovative learning programmes, to support the innovation of our fulfilment centre proposition.
  • Support and help to gain recognition and where applicable accreditation for our programmes internally and externally.
  • Engage and challenge effectively with all stakeholders, understanding priorities and promoting the internal learning programmes, raising awareness, engagement and participation.
  • Build links with external networks and awarding bodies, to ensure we deliver leading edge solutions, ensuring our programme evolve and become best in class.
  • Support the design of training programmes that are relevant and required that drive the future success of the retail business function.
  • Supporting the implementation plan for all Stafford FC colleagues, developing the training offering / programme linked to succession planning pipeline.
  • Support our proposition to attract, develop, support, progress and retain our colleagues by providing a best in class development programme.
  • To deliver an in-house suite of courses, including compliance, functional skills and ongoing CPD for all relevant colleagues.

About your experience

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Essential

  • Relevant experience of operating at training level.
  • L&D delivery& creation experience.
  • Focused on continuous improvement, measuring outcomes based on data, trends, analysis and review.

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Desirable

  • Meticulous in ensuring quality and consistency in delivery of training.
  • Strategic in mind set.
  • Clear, articulate and confident communicator – able to engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of distribution centres/ logistics.

Educational Qualifications – Desirable

  • CIPD / TAP
