About us
Falkland House School is an independent school offering day and residential placements to boys with autism and complex needs, including learning difficulties. The majority of young people are residential placements aged 8-18 years old and are a mix of 38 and 52 weeks.
The site is based in Fife, Scotland and is part of Acorn Care and Education, the second largest private sector provider of special needs education in the country operating 20 schools and 19 residential homes for children and young people. As specialists in our field we will take a holistic approach to learning that wraps therapeutic care and educational support around the individual needs of each child. With the therapeutic support and nurturing environment that will be offered, pupils will be able to develop their social skills, emotional skills and resilience alongside their academic development.
Our residential homes are friendly and fun, and though there are challenges too, everything we do is dedicated to creating rewarding experiences – for those we look after and for everyone in our team!
And that’s not all, we place the outcomes of the children and vulnerable young adults in our services at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll wake every day in the knowledge that your role will have a significant positive impact on the lives of others.
