Position Technical Services Engineer Reporting to Technical Services Team Leader Department Technical Services Departmental Functions To maximise company revenues and their customers ROI through savings associated with Value Engineering, Warranty Management, Consultancy, PBH O&A policing, Sourcing, Guarantee Management and other value stream activities. To contact suppliers in order to seek clarification of workscope/pricing/warranty and challenge when a decision is unjustified. To record VE/WTY outcomes in the respective systems. To enforce contractual terms and recover associated benefits. To manage contract TAT remedies, including those enshrined within the Airbus SSC and Boeing PSAA. To be the go-to department for engineering/technical issues and provide subject matter expertise to other company departments. To assist the Sales & Business Development with designing strategic programmes for customer cost reduction and gainshare revenue generation. To meet company requirements relating to Technical Services obligations contained within customer/company Contracts, SOWs and MOUs. To apply continuous improvement to develop company processes, procedures and systems in order to improve the departments overall efficiency and ability to meet the needs of the customer. To apply continuous improvement to develop new cost reduction mechanisms to maintain company competitiveness. Responsibility of the Position Evaluate and review repair quotations to ensure cost are fair and equitable e.g. contract enforcement, warranty optimisation, tactical cost reduction/avoidance opportunities. Identify opportunities for cost of ownership reduction e.g. alternative placement, special projects Reporting of saving performance. Achieving or exceeding contractual customer requirements. Work as part of a team in the Value Engineering function and wider Customer Support and Supplier Management teams. Identifying areas of opportunity in process, customer service and Return on Investment. Review and analyse warranty rejections and quotations raising an Engineering Request Form Review and analyse rogue units, NFF and Defect On Arrival events. Monitor and identify opportunities for reliability management and complete reliability reports Candidate Profile HNC/HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline is desirable. Strong analytical skills with a focused and methodical approach to managing work. A strong team worker who focuses on the success of a team as a whole; with excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication and ability to negotiate effectively. Confident in using own initiative, adept at problem solving, willing to learn Able to prioritise and make decisions whilst balancing results with workload and applying appropriate attention to detail Have an understanding of Information Security practices and is able to attain and maintain competency in those as prescribed by company policies
