Sessional Lecturer in Uniformed Services
6 hours per week for the academic year
£28.78 per hour including holiday pay
We are looking for someone who is committed and passionate about bringing their experiences and expertise to help train and inspire the next generation. We are looking for a person who has experience and knowledge within the Uniformed Services such as the Police, Fire Service, Military, Prison Service etc.
We are currently looking for someone who is available to plan, deliver and assess on a Thursday 9-4.30pm (6hours) to our NCFE Level 2 Entry to the Uniformed Services students. The current subjects to deliver for the remainder of the academic year include (these may be subject to change):
Unit 7- Exploring Equality and Diversity for the Uniformed Services; Unit 5- Health and Hygiene in the Uniformed Services,
As a sessional lecturer, you will work closely with course leaders and the wider teaching and additional learning support team to ensure that students are working towards their potential and on track to succeed.
These hours are currently based at Norwich City College for the remainder of the academic year, but there may be potentially hours available at Easton College in the future. There may be opportunities to deliver across other programmes (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3) in the future or where cover is needed within the department.
If you have experience within the Uniformed Services, are highly motived, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting others to develop, we’d love to hear from you. You should be a confident communicator who is people-focused and able to relate well with our students. Obviously experience of training and/or a teaching qualification would be an asset, but if you are the right candidate for the role we will invest heavily in your development. Depending on future hours, there may be an opportunity to complete formal training and qualifications alongside time and support to help you develop your practice to become a qualified and confident lecturer.
