Brief Summary:
As a Release Engineer you will be working within the aerospace industry, you will be responsible for carrying out the final inspection of Repair & Overhaul (R&O) equipment ensuring parts adhere to the specification laid out within the CMM, generating, and
signing the approved release certificates ensuring all customer, contract and regulatory requirements are observed.
Responsibilities:
Final Inspection of assembled props, blades and control units to specification and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
Generating all the relevant paperwork to complete final release of the product to the customer
Ensuring traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the process.
Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required
The candidate will need to have the ability and experience of working on mechanical and hydraulic components
Using a variety of measuring equipment (Micrometres, shadow graph, hardness Vickers, verniers, height gauge, bore micrometre) to check parts are conforming to drawing requirements
Checking and verifying Suppliers First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102B Forms)
Assisting the Supplier Quality in gathering missing documents from Suppliers for example FAIR's
Qualifications/Experiences:
Minimum 2 year's experience working in the aerospace industry
Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or time served apprentice or similar level of the knowledge and experience.
Inspection experience
R&O build experience
Good manual dexterity
