Due to our continued success and expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Telecoms Electrician to join our Managed service team. Who are we?

About The Role As a Telecoms Electrician you will be part of our diverse team who are responsible for the successful delivery of various projects and maintenance of the SPEN telecoms network across the North of England and Scotland. The role involves installation & commissioning and first line reactive maintenance on our support contract. This is on a Monday-Friday 0800-1600 basis. Applicants require to be flexible, assisting with overtime when required. This role is based across then North East of England with the occasionalwork in Scotland so you will need a full driving licence and may have to work away from home. Training is given to carry out your role and progression opportunities within our team are fully supported. What will you be doing? Rack, charger and telecoms equipment installation & commissioning to an excellent standard Wiring and connection of AC & DC power to telecoms equipment to required standards and regulations Testing & Certification 1st Line Support and troubleshooting of customer equipment Data room, data centre and substation works RAMS creation and work area/vehicle management Completion of site surveys to enable installation To pro-actively understand our customers needs and work to meet our contractual obligations What we need from you City and Guilds 2391

Inspect and Test 18th Edition Full Driving Licence Level 3 electrical installation Emergency first aid at wo Asbestos awareness Manual handling IOSH working safely Relevant telecoms qualifications Excellent organisation and communication skills A high focus on health and safety at work Experience in completion of handover documents Ability to be pro-active and resolve or escalate issues quickly Previous work as a field engineer/electrician in the telecoms sector Use of industry standard testers Previous work in data centres, telephone exchanges, fibre exchanges, customer HUB/outstation sites or substations Knowledge of IP networks, Cisco, Alcatel & Nokia devices Use of power tools, hand tools, ladders or any work at height Driving for work or managing a company vehicle Previous electrical or mechanical work A strong set of IT skills which would include the Microsoft Office products, basic DOS commands, mobile phone work apps and online time sheets An interest in new equipment & technology and keenness to learn about it Analytical skills and logical thinking to assist in fault diagnosis and resolution About The Company
