Job description

They are recruiting for a Geotechnical Quantity Surveyor to join their business.

Main Responsibilities to include:

Provide effective commercial management with a view to maximising gross margin

Provide effective commercial control of allocated accounts/projects

Prepare reports for account/project stakeholders on the progress of client and sub-contract accounts

Liaise with clients, subcontractors & suppliers

Attend briefing meetings

Identify opportunities for cost savings and profit improvement

Support in the contract review process

Negotiate contracts and work schedules

Prepare bills of quantities, pricing schedules and contract documents for tender

Compile tender packages and manage tenders and requests for quotations

Compile project quotations (costs, quantities)

Compile cost estimates, cost reports and cash flow forecasts

Assign work to subcontractors

Check purchase orders before project commencement

Manage costs generally throughout a project

Prepare and undertake valuation and 'Final Account' discussion

Manage key suppliers and subcontractors

Manage price lists from suppliers
