Interim Medical Workforce Officer | NHS Band 7 | 3 month bank contract The Medical Workforce Officer will use specialist knowledge and experience of the highly complex medical staffing terms and conditions, national strategies, policies and procedures to expertly manage the medical staffing service to the Trust. Recommending best practice and, in collaboration with key stakeholders, reviewing current Trust arrangements to drive local improvements. Key areas of focus: All medical terms and conditions Revalidation Job planning Medical recruitment, education and development Medical appraisals Junior doctor rotations Rota management Exception reporting and work schedule reviews Clinical Excellence Awards Discretionary Points The Medical Workforce Officer will ensure robust policies, systems and processes are in place in regard to the above and that a professional, proactive and quality service is provided. Working proactively with the HR Business Partners, Divisional management teams, the Medical Director, Director of Medical Education, and senior medical leads across the Trust, to support the forward planning, modernisation, engagement and performance of the medical workforce, embedding good HR practice and ensuring an appropriate response to legal and other requirements in relation to the medical workforce. Lead on designated Divisional or Trust-wide HR developments as agreed with the Director of HR and OD and other key stakeholders e.g. roll out of new terms and conditions Also working closely with the HR Business Partners and senior HR and OD Leads in developing HR initiatives that create and add value to the business and performance of the Trust.
