Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Team Lead - CAx Process Specialist to be based at our office in Warwick, UK.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

THE ROLE This position is responsible for defining and coordinating activities that enable and monitor CAx compliance for CAD & CAE scope for a specific customer program engagement. You will operate as part of the CAx / Data Quality / Process, Methods & Tools team. We are looking for an experienced individual to provide compliance / governance for CAx activities associated with the development of turnkey vehicle programs. You will discover efficient ways to create, store, share, and analyse CAD data in alignment with customer and TTL program best practices.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY Managing CAx application requirements (specs, access requests, licence approvals;) ensuring alignment between customer and stakeholders; examples include CATIA V6, Q-Checker, VIS family of mock-up tools Managing ok to use list of CAx macros, utilities, tools approved for program use. You will collaborate with internal automation functions and customer teams Building appropriate communication channels with program mgmt. teams to ensure delivery engineers are identified and furnished with the correct CAx tools to fulfil their engineering deliverables (the process definition) Ensuring appropriate mechanisms are established for problem and incident mgmt. around CAx related topics Governance and management of CAD standards, policy. You will ensure as a point contact you are fully aware which standards are effective on the program and subsequently work with the delivery teams building compliance Ensuring teams are fully aware of their CAx commitments associated with engineering deliverables especially around data quality criteria Ensuring a view of CAx compliance features in program level reporting, and the establishment of appropriate escalation channels CAD data availability: this includes the establishment and management of a digital buck to support wider organizational needs. CAD data exchange and transfer to ensure delivery teams are provided a service in support of their enterprise data needs. You will ensure compliance to data security policy The establishment of a system by which the maturation of CAD data can be appropriately controlled / measured across a multifunctional / multidiscipline team in consideration of both internal and external process and quality criteria CAD standards in support of typical Product Quality Engineering (PQE) requirements such as control plans (drawings, model-based-definition,) product characteristics, outputs of Design Variation Analysis (DVA) / tolerancing, GD&T etc. Supporting the ongoing development of the digital development processs (accountability and responsibility outside of role scope) which ensures designs are appropriately virtually validated. You will consider CAx processes to manage the configuration of data (including incremental change,) validate data, freeze data, exchange data, transfer data, archive data, timeliness of data etc. Typical downstream activities include CAE loops (testing designs to vehicle attribute targets,) virtual builds (ensure designs have been designed for DFMA,) pre-gate reviews, post gate records etc. Define CAD maturity levels / criteria in support of PLM processes and vehicle development phase / process requirements Gatekeeper / in some projects coordinate with customer to define the CAD Quality parameters as per the org standards and best practices Strictly follow / setup governance for validation & correctness of CAD Quality Audit the CAD quality time to time and publish reports on non-compliance Ensure that CAD is Q-checked passed prior to milestones & gateways, especially releases to drive right-first-time metric Coach and train engineers / peers on related process to minimize the CAD Quality gaps.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE Knowledge of basic automotive vehicle development / NPI / commodity development lifecycle release processes Dassault Enovia/3DX tool chain knowledge is a must - data model, security model, functional knowledge of all engineering areas like BOM mgmt., release mgmt., requirements mgmt., configuration mgmt. etc. Deep understanding of out-of-the-box processes and experience with a variety of customer customizations Expert level experience with CAD tools

CATIA V6, NX etc. preferably CATIA V6 and 3DX data mgmt. / PLM Siemens Teamcenter Knowledge also a bonus Excellent analytical skills Self-starter Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements to help have credible dialog with the engineering community Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels including close customer relations PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc. In return for bringing your expertise to our business we offer a competitive salary along with excellent benefits including: Pension Scheme
