Operations / Business Manager £40,000 - £50,000 We are delighted to be representing an engineering business based in North Wales who design bespoke components and assemblies for the construction industry. What you'll be expected to: Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that design and manufacturing projects adhere to scope and schedule, overseeing product planning timetables, developing forecasts, tracking expenditure with a sharp focus on ROI and profitability. Implement and monitor procedures to improve operational flow. Support the Directors to develop product plans, pricing policy and margin analysis for different markets and product range, monitoring exchange rates and freight costs etc. Identify and develop strong vendor relationships. Work closely with the finance department to manage purchasing. Oversee and deliver business development projects as required. Develop and manage the quality system in line with ISO9000. Ensuring quality processes are monitored and adhered to. Manage product compliance across the full product range ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer specific specifications and standards (e.g. ethical sourcing / packaging / etc.). Knowledge and Experience: Solid experience in a production operations/ business management/ distribution or project management role. Ideally this would be in a construction product or operations engineering role. Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable commercial experience. Proficient with Microsoft office applications. People management experience at supervisory level, including successfully motivating a small team. Experience using ERP systems (desirable). Your Talents Resourceful and confident to work autonomously, you are good at identifying opportunities and taking initiative. Numerate with meticulous attention to detail you are highly analytical. Aptitude for learning new software and systems. Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently. Known for delivering results; you are results focused, with a high degree of self-motivation, highly organised, good at maintaining standards, at acting and pursuing goals. Excellent communicator & ability to engage people and build effective working relationships.
