The role:
As a Strategic Business Development Manager at Thrifty, your primary responsibility will be to secure new business wins across diverse segments, including Corporate, SME, Insurance replacement, manufacturer warranty and intermediary markets. Through effective prospecting via phone, video calls and face-to-face interactions, you will contribute to the growth of profitable accounts, surpassing on-rent and revenue targets.
The candidate:
The ideal candidate will have vehicle rental experience and thrive in high-pressure situations, consistently achieving revenue targets and securing profitable new account wins that will cultivate long-term loyalty partnerships. Driven by opportunities, planning and executing strategies for successful outcomes.
Main Duties
Develop a deep understanding of Thrifty's products and industry knowledge for a consultative sale approach
Play a crucial role in winning, developing and retaining key customers in the UK
Attend regular review meetings, fostering relationships and networking up to board level
Work with existing customers to showcase Thrifty's value proposition and maximize rental volumes
Sales process management
Demonstrate a good understanding of the market and implement a structured plan to optimize face-to-face time with customers while minimizing travel.
Market awareness
Appointment making
Manage prospect data for an active pipeline and prospects
Collaborate with the Internal Sales team to enhance territory management and share local market insights
Build effective relationships with other teams to drive new business opportunities
Cross-Sector Prospecting
Skills, Experience and/or Qualifications Preferred
Previous rental business experience
Efficient time management
Negotiation proficiency
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Effective verbal communication
Strong written communication
Business literacy
Proven experience dealing with high level decision makers in a B2B sales role where a superior work ethic has been demonstrated
Background in vehicle rental B2B sales is preferred
