Our highly regarded Estimators are critical to our commercial success, by calculating accurate, sustainable and competitive prices for tenders. Through business growth we are looking for a Senior Estimator, to join our Energy Team. The Role: As a Senior Estimator within our Energy Team, your role will involve utilising your extensive utilities experience to accurately estimate costs for a range of projects, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to budgetary constraints. You will lead the preparation and submission of bids, managing the entire bid process from initial inquiry through to tender submission. Here are some of the activities you'll get involved in: Examining and comprehending the specifications outlined in the tender documents Participating in site visits alongside the designated bid team Consenting to and finalising specific resource needs and expected outcomes Verifying that prices for goods and services are comprehensively understood and accurate Creating Bill of Quantities/Schedules Managing the risk register Compiling clarifications on pricing Developing the tender breakdown for adjudication and attending the associated meeting Implementing amendments in alignment with agreements Contributing to post-tender negotiations and reviewing pricing We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following: Experience delivering accurate, sustainable, and robust pricing information in civil engineering pricing information in the utilities sector being essential. Excellent stakeholder management, proactivity and accountability are pre-requisites, along with experience with developing schemes from pre-construction and into construction, with/or for a distribution network operation (DNO) is essential, along with a good knowledge of NEC 3 contracts.
