Duties:
Assist in negotiation and consultations for planning applications.
Establish and develop housing and planning policies.
Provide support in the development of the updated Housing Strategy and Local Plan - processing and updating data & information.
Work alongside registered providers to enable works.
Review agency partners and Housing Associations that are currently working with the authority.
Experience Needed:
Confident and competent Housing Professional with previous experience within a local authority.
Experienced/Familiar with Planning application processes, consultations, and negotiations - able to work through a backlog of applications.
Knowledgeable of Housing Strategy data including Housing plans, population, and property figures.
Experienced reviewing Housing Associations and agency partners.
Confident in multiagency and cross-department communication and negotiation around Housing needs, planning, and development.
