ROLE DESCRIPTION: We are looking for an Approved Electrician with previous experience working in a construction environment to join our installation team. In this role, youll be delivering quality electrical installation, which will involve but not limited to the following duties, Safe Isolation and Risk Assessment Carry out and document dynamic risk assessments. Carry out safe isolation in the correct sequence. Installation Installation of protective equipotential bonding Installation and termination of PVC singles cable Installation and termination of PVC/PVC multi-core cable Installation and termination of SY multi-core cable Installation and termination of heat-resistant flex Installation, glanding and termination of XLPE SWA Installation, glanding and termination of CAT6 Data SWA Planning, construction and install 20/25mm metal conduit. Planning, construction and install 20/25mm plastic conduit. Planning, construction and install ladder containment. Planning, construction and install tray containment. Ensure the correct permits are in place, prior to work commencing. Ensure standard of work is at its highest. Ensure quality installation standards and the use of proper installation techniques. By ensuring correct materials are being used for all aspects of theproject. Ensureall electrical work is adhered to the customer safety rules and IMACs safe system of works. Applied Knowledge Health and Safety BS 7671: Requirements for Electrical Installations Good understanding of WIMES, but not essential. Check and Proofread Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Advise if amendments are required. Understanding design specifications and technical drawings. Behavior Use oral, written, and electronic methods for the communication of technical documents including IMAC policies. Work effectively with colleagues, other trades, clients, suppliers, and the public. Undertake work in a way that contributes to sustainable development. Maintain and enhance competence in own area. Exercise responsibilities in an ethical manner Electrical Installation Technical/design Co-ordination, including legible red lined design on completion of site works. We work with our clients around the UK to create, support, and enhance smart, safe, and sustainable control systems and electrical installations, to improve current processes within the water & environmental sectors. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: You will work collaboratively with other installation disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall solution and youll contribute to the daily project duties. You will be accountable to the site supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: First and foremost, you share our passion for developing and improving sustainable engineering and understand the importance of teamwork. At a minimum, the right candidate will be qualified or experienced with the following: Qualified Electrician C&G/Apprenticeship/AM2 or Equivalent C&G 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Inspection & Testing C&G 2391 or Equivalent Valid JIB Gold Card ECS CSCS Card Significant demonstrable experience of commercial electrical installation work. Working knowledge of electrical safe practices. Effective problem-solving abilities coupled with a careful attention to health and safety are essential for this position.
